You are in a no man's land and you fall into a vacuum in which you can no longer relate to anything. Not until the time. Not to the other. Not to the ground beneath your feet. Powerless and at the mercy of life you plunge down into an unknown depth.

The Opera of the Falling Man is a Virtual Reality Opera. An interdisciplinary experience inspired by conversations with people with a psychological vulnerability. With psychiatry as a mirror for the world we live in, the experience calls for universal recognition.
The Opera of the Falling Man is a poetic, musical and visual investigation into the loneliness of grief. An experience that invites reflection, but above all brings together and offers comfort.
The opera of the falling man is produced by MCEM in co-production with VIA ZUID and Cultura Nova, in collaboration with Mondriaan GGZ. In December 2018, Celine Daemen received de Hustinx incentive prize for the development of this project. Furthermore, the project is financially supported by, among others, the VSB fund.
